The Hidden Europe Trip Builder collects as little as possible. There are no accounts, no ads, no tracking cookies and no analytics. This page explains what data is used and why.
Europe Revealed is responsible for the data described here. Contact: info.europerevealed@gmail.com.
1. Stored only on your device
Your trip choices, saved and visited places, and your license key are stored in your browser's local storage, on your own device. We don't receive this data. To delete it, clear the website data for this site in your browser settings.
When you share a trip link, the trip itself (the start place and stops) is packed into the link. It contains no personal information.
2. When you buy a pass
Gumroad handles payments as our reseller and Merchant of Record. They process your name, email address, country and payment details to take the payment, send your receipt and license key, and meet their tax obligations. See Gumroad's privacy policy.
We receive the order details from Gumroad: your name, email address, country, what you bought and when. We use them to give you access, help you when you contact us, handle refunds, and keep the records the law requires. We don't use them for marketing unless you sign up for it separately.
3. Checking your license key
When you enter your key, and occasionally afterwards, the Trip Builder sends the key to Gumroad, through a small helper on our own website. This confirms that the key is valid and counts how many devices use it.
4. Hosting
The website is hosted by Netlify. Like every web server, Netlify briefly processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the site and keep it secure.
5. Fonts
The Trip Builder loads its fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser connects to Google's servers for this, so Google receives your IP address. See Google's privacy policy.
6. Links to other sites
Buttons such as “Open in Google Maps” and our TikTok link take you to other websites. Their own privacy policies apply there.
7. How long we keep data
We keep order details for as long as your pass is active, and after that only as long as tax and accounting rules require (in the Netherlands, usually 7 years).
8. Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it. Email info.europerevealed@gmail.com. You can also complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
